MorphOS is a PowerPC native OS based on a microkernel called Quark, and capable of a perfect emulation of the AmigaOS, it can run both 68k (through a fast JIT emulator) and PPC Amiga code.
It will be shipped as the main OS on a new PowerPC based MicroATX motherboard called Pegasos.

As the first betas of this OS were downloadable and ran on any PPC Amiga, I tried it on a partition, but I didn't manage to actually run it. :-)
Now there are many more tutorials about installing it, I've understood the mistakes I did, but I haven't spare disk space on the Amiga anymore...

Anyway, I'm following some Mailing Lists about MorphOS, it's a great system, and it's not actually "limited" to only emulate the Amiga, and because the developer team behind the system was in Phase5 (they brought the power of PowerPC to Amigas!) time ago, I'm sure it will be something very good!
I only hope I would afford it in the future. :-)
