-) What is there in the future of D.F. ?
As far as I can tell you now we will have a new album out in spring of 1998 and it will be called "Killing On Adrenaline". We will follow that with a European tour and a North American tour. It wil be on Morbid Records out of Germany and it will blow everyones expectations.
-) Are you satisfied of the work of Morbid Rec. to promote your band ?
We yet do not have a complete deal with them, I only expect us to record with them cause they have offered us the best deal but we are still negotiating the contract with them. If everything goes well, then the tour will happen, if not, then we won't.
-) Your CD was one of the best brutal works of the last years, I think you can be satisfied, isn't
it ? What's the secret to do a good CD ?
Taking the time and effort to write good songs. It takes a lot of
patience and practice as well, something that gets better with time.
Also one need the sufficient money to record a good quality album, as well as the technical know how in the studio to put it together. We always try to make it better.
-) What do you think of the bands who try to mix brutal death with other genres ? There's some difference for you between bands that insert melodic stuff and bands that insert noise/industrial influences or others ?
We will always be brutal death metal. We do have melodic parts to but we just do not let them dominate the songs, we try to keep shit mixed up all the time so we can never be labeled as one style. Brutal death metal is of course our trademark but we expand on it always. I think that Illdisposed is the perfect example of a band that is Brutal yet still highly melodic.
-) Have you some recurrent nightmare or dream ?
Last night I had a very fucked up and very realistic dream about some wartime atrocities that was so real and vivid I woke up almost sick to my stomach. I hope it is not reoccuring cause I need my sleep!

-) I know you were be some months in europe, did you like it ? Have you noticed some differences in the musical ambient ? There's something that you think europe should "import" from USA or USA from europe ?
I had the time of my fucking life there and I cannot wait until next summer when I come back on tour. The beer is better and cheaper, the weed is good, the girls are beautiful and life is safer. I did however spend a week in Italy and you Italians drive like maniacs! I was in Verona one day and almost got run over crossing the street 2 times! As far as the music, it is all a lot more multi dimesional, and that is better. I think it is great how we both have such different sounds on both sides
of the Atlantic cause it keeps things interesting. If everyone was brutal like the American style it would be very boring indeed.
-) Are you a splatter fan ? what are your preferred horror/ splatter films and books ? and outside this genre ?
I really like the Italian movies from Argento and I also really like
the movie "Delamorte Delamore" NOGGY YOU BASTARD!! Also Peter Jackson stuff is good, I really love DEAD/ALIVE, and as far as books I love Clive Barker. Outside of the genre stuff from the late great Chris Farly always had us going good.
-) I know that "Dead Alive" exists in almost 2 version, the original called "Braindead" distributed in europe and a censored one (Dead Alive) for the american's market.
Do you believe that a film like that can upset a 10, 14, 18 or 99 years old boy/girl ? Are you agree with this kind of censorship ? Do you believe that there is a right censorship with someone who has the right to decide what is good and what is bad for you and others (not only for films but also politic and so on) ?
Well, I think that censorship should be nonexistant, but I also believe there should be controled access to certain things dealing with sex and violence that might not be appropriate for children. At 12 or 13 anyone should be able to get whatever they want, cause then I believe the most formative years where the development of crucial decisions between right and wrong will have been determined correctly, that is if their parents were attentive enough and showed enough interest in the growth and learning of their children. And if they were not raised well then it will not matter cause the brutal aspects of life are hard to hide in a fucked up world like this, and they will see for themselves at that point , and therefore no longer need governments to decide for them.
-) I remember from the end of 70s to the middle of 80s a lot of good horror films, but now the big company doesn't invest in this genre and the best films of the last years was totally underground (i.e. Nekromantik etc.). Do you think that is a positive thing ? There's a connection with musical scene ?
I am not really sure, I do not have so much time these dasy to really see whats going on in that scene, but I would like to think the stuff is still coming out. There may be a connection but I do not know about it....Death Metal is certainly way underground in America now.
-) How do live the D.F.s' members ?
Well I go to the University full time and work and do the band, that is my life, Brian also works and goes to school, John gets really fucked up all the time, even when he is at work, and our new drummer Kevin just works now too, nothing exciting!
-) Why the old drummer has left the band ?
Well the drummer on the last album left cause he just did not have time for us anymore, he got old and out of the scene.
-) I've read that in some american cities is forbidden to smoke cigarettes in public... what do you think about it ? And what about the liberalization of the other drugs, from cannabis to eroin ?
It is legal to smoke a cigarette anywhere outside in public, just not in certain buildings. It gives me a headache sometimes but it does not mater to me really. As far as the other stuff legalize it all I do not care!
-) In mexico the government kills the indios in the general indifference, while the TV talks about Clinton photographed in bathing and similar shitty facts (after months TV still talks about lady D...), how is possible that people appreciates this and don't throw the TV out of the window ?
Because people in general are mindless zombies that do not give a fuck about anything that does not directly affect them, and they are only preoccupied with trivial bullshit like the afformentioned things just
because their own lives are so pathetic that they have to worry about famous people to make then forget about themselves. FUCK TV!!!!!!
-) What do you think about death-sentence ?
I really do not believe in it, I think a life sentance without parole is a far more brutal sentence...death is the easy way out...life is much more brutal and traumatic than "just killing them".
