Results of the Mass Referendum at Presidency University : Elections on 4th Feb

The declaration of results of the mass referendum conducted by the Presidencians United For Democracy (PUFD) on the 21st and 22nd of January revealed that 81% refused to postpone the student elections which were being held on undemocratic lines. As the Union is a much needed platform to voice concerns in Presidency University, the 67% of students who voted saw it fit to go through with Student Union Elections. This leaves the 180 students, who had gone on the indefinite hunger strike, with a right to vote but not contest in the 2015-2016 student union…
