BUGs----->

e' un progetto composto di 2 labs informatici & autogestiti, nati all'interno del C.S.A. LaTorre & della S.C.O.L.A. (ora Strike-spa) nasce dalla volonta' di iniziare a fare un uso critico della tecnologia informatica. Crediamo che in un mondo che si affida sempre piu' alle tecnologie digitali sia necessario fare un uso consapevole, libero & critico della scienza informatica.

PENSIAMO CHE----->

sia necessario diffondere l'uso di software libero come Linux contro il monopolio micro$oft & il concetto di copyright.

----->solo con l'uso di free software, codice sotto licenza GNU/GPL e' possibile pensare a uno sviluppo della tecnologia basato sulla collaborazione tra individui & sulla condivisione dei saperi, piuttosto che sulla competizione propria di questo modello economico.

----->sia indispensabile rivendicare il diritto alla banda (ACCESSO AD INTERNET) perche' i saperi e gli strumenti di comunicazione, informazione & autorganizzazione non sono merce, per questo motivo nei laboratori la navigazione e' a sottoscrizione libera.

----->la formazione e gli spazi di autoformazione siano un diritto non commercializzabile e per questo tentiamo di diffondere tutte le conoscenze che abbiamo e che acquisiamo.

----->il recupero e il riuso del vecchio hardware -dei vecchi computer- nell'impossibilita' di autoprodurlo, sia l'unico modo per contrastare le logiche consumistiche del mercato, che impone un continuo e costoso ricambio delle componenti del computer.

* a differenza del software proprietario il free software e' comprensibile e modificabile da qualsiasi programmatore

BUGs e' un progetto autogestito, autorganizzato, autofinanziato, in continua evoluzione che si nutre di ogni stimolo interno ed esterno all'informatica.

System's mistake --> born to change it <---- Bugs dying for new knowledge

BUGS------>

Bugslab is a project created by two Italian self-organized labs, born inside two social centres - C.S.A. LaTorre and S.C.O.L.A (now Strike-Spa). It's born from the desire to start using information technology critically. We believe that in a world that is becoming more and more digitally dependent, a conscious, free and critical use of the net is necessary.

WE THINK THAT

----->It is necessary to spread the use of free software around, such as GNU/Linux, against the monopoly of micro$oft and the concepts of copyright.

----->only with the use of free software and code under the GNU/GPL license is it possible to think about the development of technology based on collaboration between people and sharing of knowledge, rather than the self-competition of this economic model in which we live.

----->it is absolutely necessary to claim the right of bandwidth because the knowledge and means of communication, information and self-organization are not commercial goods; due to this reason, surfing the internet in the labs is free and by donation.

----->training and the spaces of self-training are rights not merchantable and for this reason we try to share all the knowledge we have within our reach.

----->the recycling and the use of trash ware, old hardware, under the impossibility of self-producing it, is the only way to oppose the consumerist market logic, which requires a continuous and expensive upgrade of hardware components.

*the difference between proprietary software and free software is that the latter is free to be changed, sold and redistributed by anyone

BUGs is a self-managed, self-organized and self-financed project, in continous evolution, fed by any inside and outside information technology stimulus.
